Loving Christ, Loving Others

Transfiguration is a friendly, growing Catholic parish just minutes outside of Columbia. We hope that you will take a few minutes to look around our site and catch a glimpse of what makes our parish family so special!

Meet our Pastor

Rev. Msgr. James L. LeBlanc is originally from Michigan and was ordained in 1996. Prior to becoming a priest he practiced law in New York and Columbia, and taught at the University of South Carolina School of Law. It was after hearing Pope St. John Paul II preach at Williams Brice Stadium on September 11, 1987 that he was led to answer the Lord's call to become a priest. He has served many parishes around our state, and was appointed pastor of Transfiguration  on February 28, 2017.  He also serves as pastor of our sister church, St. Theresa in Winnsboro. Please feel free to call him Father Jim.
