Jn 14:1-6

Jesus consoles his troubled disciples by telling them that even though he must leave them for a time, he is going to prepare a place for them so that they can be with him again. Thomas is honest in expressing his concern hinged on a literal understanding of the meaning of “the way.” Jesus tells them that it is in him they know the way to the Father because he is the way.

My human limitations prevent me from fully comprehending what is beyond this life. I am consoled by your reassurance which gives me hope that one day I will be with you.
