Jn 11:45-56

Following the raising of Lazarus from the dead, the hard-core plotting and planning on the part of the Jewish leaders begins. While they deliberate, it is Caiaphas who makes the argument that tips the scale. With the concern that Jesus’ works will catch the negative attention of the Romans, he says that it is better for one person to die than an entire nation.

We look to the week ahead, Holy Week, knowing it was and is all part of God’s plan. What seems to be the end is a new beginning.
